For providing high quality education at minimum cost for development of young generation, Saltlake Shiksha Niketan has constructed a rare state of the art building having Ground + five floors having a built up area of about 82,000 sq.ft. with provision for two automatic lifts on 62 cottahs of land to which about 14 cottahs is going to be added soon.

Auditorium - A large well equipped auditorium

The school has a spacious air-conditioned auditorium, with a capacity to accommodate 1300 people with all its paraphernalia to organize different indoor sports and co-curricular activities. The auditorium is used to organize debates, quiz, indoor sports, convocations, functions etc. It is located on the ground floor and is easily accessible from all the classrooms as well as from outside the school.

Laboratories - 3 Laboratories

To ensure an ambience for innovative, creative and contemporary pedagogy, the theory classes are being supplemented with practical knowledge. Regular lab sessions are held under the guidance of trained lab instructors. In addition to the mandatory laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, the school also has separate well equipped labs for Mathematics and Geography.

Mathematics Lab

To make mathematics fun and demonstrable, we at SALTLAKE SHIKSHA NIKETAN have set up Maths lab for students to learn about various concepts using tools, shapes and real-life situations. This helps the students to extend to the experiential learning in Mathematics.

Physics Lab

Our Physics Lab is fully equipped with all modern facilities and equipment to allow children to engage in learning through research. The Lab has been planned keeping the safety of the students in mind. Well-trained professionals assist and engage children, encouraging them to work in groups as well as individually to enable them to correlate practical and theoretical experiences. The Biology laboratory of Saltlake Shiksha Niketan is well equipped and is maintained regularly. Some of the components of the Biology lab are as the following -

The laboratory is capacious with all the modern facilities. It provides the students the opportunity to develop the ability of learning by doing.

Geography Lab

Geography lab plays a very important role in enriching geographical base of a student. It enhances the learning of the student to full spectrum of sub fields like physical and socio-economic geography. Our school has different topological map of India for comprehensive understanding of a region and also Weather Instruments & Models –Anemometer, Barometer, Rain Gauge, Wind Wane etc. Geographical Models & Apparatus , CDs related to different topics are also there for visual aid.

Composite Lab

The school has well equipped composite science lab. The laboratory is well equipped to conduct experiments as per the syllabi of CBSE. The lab is periodically upgraded to fulfill the requirements of the curriculum. Students have facilities to perform experiments, to measure data and to anlyse results so as to match their practical observations with theoretical knowledge.

IT skills have now become a necessity owing to the increasing use of computers in our daily life. At Saltlake Shiksha Niketan , Computer Education is compulsory from the very beginning. Students have internet access and the full campus is connected with Wi-Fi and internet supports live management and educational facilities for students and faculty.

Library - Well stocked Library for Junior and Seniors

The school library has a collection of thousands of books, audio-visual material and other contents that serves common use to meet the educational, informative and recreational needs of the users. Playground - Sufficient open space for both Indoor and Outdoor sports

The school playground is open, spacious and provides a safe outdoor environment within the school that stimulates the children to use their creative energy in healthy interactions with one another. Children sit in their classroom desk for many hours each day. They are given breaks in between when they go outdoors to the playground where they use the play equipments, run on the field, jump rope, play basketball and create some new games to challenge friends. It also has a shady table area for eating lunch, colouring and escaping the sun.
